The idea of the proposal is to remove existing barriers - both physical and visual. We transform weaknesses of the locality into the strong and attractive moments. The base of the public buildings becomes the central element of the proposal by transforming it from inaccesible terrace into the valuable part of the new public square - the staircase with ramps and urban furniture. The square itself is left empty so it can accommodate various activities and events. It is fluently connected with the smaller spaces in between buildings that have different character and level of intimity. |
